Nobody imagined this could ever happen, especially in the areas that were not specified as “flood zones”. It came out of nowhere and sadly many of our Louisiana employees were significantly affected by the “Great Flood of 2016”.
Because our culture runs deep and we stick together, our AccuTRANS family joined in supporting our fellow family members in their time of need. The team visited employees and assisted them in ripping out floors, sheetrock, cleaning, and trying to salvage what they could. The AccuTRANS team also delivered supplies such as food, water, cleaning kits, clothes, toiletries and much more to employees that lost pretty much everything.
When asked how she felt about volunteering, Sarah Williamson, AccuTRANS employee said “Yesterday gave me a sense of hope that came from knowing that we were all working together to make things better for families that had just lost everything. I feel so grateful to work for a company that gives back to their employees and allows other to take time out of their day to help out.”
The families who were affected have shown an incredible resilience and strength to rebound. They certainly embody the GRIT to overcome these obstacles.
We can’t thank our AccuTRANS volunteer team enough for all they contributed, especially the demo crew!
